Program Description:

There isn’t one right way to lead, and not everyone has the same leadership style or natural tendencies. Regardless of individual differences, effective leadership involves crafting a vision, building alignment around that vision and bringing the vision to life by championing execution. These are the three elements of leadership, and there are specific best practices for each. The Work of Leaders approach to strategic leadership allows leaders to identify their strengths and areas of opportunity within a framework designed to enable them to develop their natural tendencies to best practices, resulting in a practical, meaningful approach to leadership development.

Program Objectives:

  • List and describe the three key elements of strategic leadership (vision, alignment and execution) and identify best practices specific to each area.
  • Develop a personalized plan to improve strategic leadership based on individual leadership styles.
  • Apply the ability to coach other organizational leaders to identify their own natural leadership tendencies and move toward best practices with respect to each of the three elements of strategic leadership
