Program Description:

 

All teams deal with conflict and this presentation explores the Three Roots of Conflict Model which provides the opportunity for logical analysis and emotional de-escalation. We will also discuss common responses to conflict and practice active listening skills. This presentation is highly interactive, including discussion and activities to further the impact of conflict management and listening skills for daily work and life situations.

 

 

Program Objectives:

 

·         Participants are engaged in deeper learning about the theory and origins of daily conflicts.

·         Participants leave with tangible new skills that can be applied immediately in their home and work environments.

·         Active listening skills are presented in a way that new insights and skills can be discovered for each participant.

 

Modalities of Training:

·         Experiential and Interactive Activities (Conflict Response Style Cards Activity and “Listening Lines”)

·         Visual Diagram and Instructional Handouts

·         Engaging and Challenging group discussion


 

 

 

 

About the Speaker:

 

Robin Funsten holds a degree in Experiential Education and Psychology and has extensive experience in Restorative Justice and Community & Youth Mediation. She has been facilitating satisfying resolutions for over a decade. She now brings this expertise to the field of Executive Coaching and Organizational Development.

Robin provides individual and team Coaching, consulting, mediation, facilitation and training to companies, individuals and communities to get to the roots of the issues they experience in order to develop long-lasting solutions for everyday problems. She is a 2016 TEDx Tryon Speaker with the topic of: How Understanding Conflict can help Improve our Lives.

 

Because she wants to remain an advocate for youth, Robin gives 40% of her company's net income to supporting youth-at-risk locally and globally, including donations to 501c3 Youth-Serving organizations as well as her own projects and advocacy for local youth.
