Volunteerism:  Your Next Employee Engagement Strategy

 

Using Volunteerism to Impact the Bottom Line

Program Description:  This session will take a deep dive into how volunteerism can be used as a tool in an overall Corporate Employee Engagement Strategy to not only improve employee moral but to positively have an impact on a company's net profits. Through small group exercises and local case studies, participants will learn how volunteerism can be used to enhance various aspects of employee development and engagement.

 

Presenters:

 

Kris Dionne is a Resource Development Manager at United Way with a focus on corporate engagement, staffs the Business United initiative and has an extensive background in sales and management within the for-profit sector. She is a graduate of Bowling Green State University where she studied International Business and Marketing.

 

Michelle Bennett is the Volunteer Engagement Director at United Way, staffs the Business United initiative, and has experience designing and implementing volunteer projects for businesses that focus on team-building, networking and community impact goals. Michelle holds a Masters in International Studies from North Carolina State University. She has worked in volunteer engagement since 2009.
